Bring on the Rain!

(Goblin is 30 months)
It has been raining all week. For any of you not based in the UK you may not realise the irony of this statement. It has been an exceedingly dry winter, and as a result large portions of the country are under a hose pipe ban. And yet trying to drive to my friends house yesterday was virtually impossible as so many of the roads were flooded. For many the rain is a bad thing. But for toddlers it opens up new opportunities for play and fun - and for mummy's too if they have wellies and waterproof trousers (they may not look cool but they keep me dry). We met up with Elfin and Baby bird. We haven't seen the girls in ages so it was lovely to be able to spend the day with them splashing in puddles and climbing trees. Here is what we got up to.

  1. What a fun day - we've had so much fun with the puddles - T has just discovered what she can do with them although is still undecided whether it's more fun to crawl through them or to splash in them.

    1. My only problem is that Goblin likes to taste them. I must sound totally mental when I'm shouting "Goblin you can splash in the puddles all you like, just don't eat them!"

  6. Having a toddler has given me a renewed appreciation of rainy days. As long as you are dressed for it they can be do much fun.
