(Goblin is 24 months)
I love the Autumn. There is something quite cosy about the shorter days and I love the beautiful colours in the trees and the crispness of the air. And it seems to be even better now that Goblin is old enough to also appreciate it. We have been enjoying getting out and playing with acorns. I have been hunting for acorn cups for my needle felting projects and Goblin has been enjoying rolling around in acorns, jumping up and down in acorns and throwing acorns. I have managed to stop him eating acorns.
Hurray for acorns!
We have also been playing with leaves. Goblin discovered that if he stomped in them they made great noises. On a walk I picked up a leaf to show him the pretty colours. He studied it, waved it around like a flag and then threw it. The wind whisked it up and it spiralled away. Goblin thought this was a great game and asked for more leaves. So as we walked down the road I scooped up handfuls of autumn leaves. I passed them to Goblin, he'd inspect them, and then I'd say "Going, going, gone" and he'd drop them and let the wind carry them away. So simple and yet so fun, we played it all the way into town - where we ran out of trees!
So sweet!
